YOUTH CSOs TO IMPLEMENT KIJANA WAJIBIKA PROJECT 2024-2026
Are you a youth-serving or youth-led organization working in Tanzania? Restless Development is currently mapping youth organizations to partner with in the implementation of the Kijana Wajibika project . This civic initiative aims to empower young people to be at the forefront of the development process by becoming active citizens, holding decision-makers accountable, and advocating for their priorities. Additionally, the project focuses on building the capacity of youth organizations.
Restless Development has secured funding from the Ford Foundation for the third phase of the Kijana Wajibika project, which will run for two years from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2026. This phase of the program aims to achieve two key outcomes:
- Strengthening Coalitions of Youth CSOs: The project will enhance collective action within thematic areas, improve civic participation, and build evidence for advocacy to strengthen public services, transparency, accountability, and access to information.
- Informed Youth Participation: The project will enable young people to actively participate in political and democratic processes, access public information, generate data, and demand improved performance.
