Hakizetu Organization, is a youth and women-led health and social justice non-profit with a simple mission: to empower economically special groups of women and youth, to protect legal and human rights, promote health and wellbeing of children, women and youth and to advocate for gender equality and equity through sensitization, and capacity building. From gender based violence and child abuse, to bullying and sexual assault, our ground breaking programs, policy development, and public action campaigns are designed to prevent and end violence against women and children, promoting accessibility of quality and safe sexual reproductive health services and information and empowering economically specific groups of women and youth around Tanzania. Striving to reach new audiences and transform social norms, we mobilize and train few community members as Community Volunteer Facilitators and train professionals such as doctors, nurses, law enforcers, local government leaders and health service providers on improving sexual reproductive health related services and responses to violence and abuse. We also work with advocates, policy makers, and others to build sustainable community leadership and educate people everywhere about the importance of respect and healthy relationships.
