FOUNDATION FOR DISABILITIES HOPE is the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), which deals with people with disabilities, youths and children. The FDH organization was informally established in 2016 where different activities were implemented in different areas and later on 2019 the founders of the organization found it better to proceed with implementation of the same activities with legal registration. So FDH was acquired its legal registration No. 00NGO/R/0204 in the year 2019 registered under Non-Government Organisation Act 24, 2002. FDH operates in the entire country in the Tanzania mainland. The nature of activities undertaking by the organization has been targeted to help needy, people with disabilities and Youth to engage in different developmental activities, this goes together with ensuring that the group has access of security, peace and freedom for their social well-being in the community. The organization operation activities started in Dodoma region where there is its main office, but later spread its operation activities in other regions like Mwanza, Simiyu Geita,Morogoro etc.Also we have regional coordinator in Kilimanjaro, Tabora, Dar es salaam, Arusha, Kagera, Simiyu, Mwanza, Kigoma and Morogoro as well its operates national wise. FDH has been carrying a range of interventions in the areas of education, health, economy, youth empowerment, children, free legal aid, human rights, etc. Our values and beliefs in daily activities involve independence, choice and control, equality of opportunity to all people and partnership working approach FDH has been enjoying the partnership with different local and international organizations including governmental and non-governmental like TAS, SHIVYAWATA, UN, USAID, and Community’s Expertise for Development Contributions (CEDC), Faith Based Organizations, Ministry of Health and Community Development, President’s Office-Regional Authorities and Local Government, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of International Affairs.
