Bright Jamii Initiative
Bright Jamii Initiative is a non-governmental organization whose main goal is to support holistic childhood development (under 18) through the integration of Social-Emotional Learning and Character Development (SELCD) in education and parenting practices in Tanzania. Bright Jamii Initiative believes that, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision making and character / moral development are fundamental aspects of childhood development and thus, both families and schools need such skills to be able to enhance holistic development of a child.
